Material: Black - Tan Vulcanite -

Note:
With this token, the owners of the Mine or "Oficinas Salitreras" pay to the workers -
They were used to buy on the "Pulperías" (Merchandise stores) the differents goods. -
Reference:
1) NOTE: "Societe Francaise des Mines de Cuivre " Collahuasi La Grande" - Was one of the larger Copper Mine in Chile. -
Its Five main Mines were grouped around Collahuasi Hill. -
These Mines were worked by Indian in pre-columbian times. - Spaniards called the area"Peirira" -
Compañia Minera Collahuasi (Organized 1899) took over mine ownership. -
But in 1912 a French enterprise bought it and changed the Company's name as shown on the Miners' payment token " Societe Francaise des Mines de Cuivre - Collahuasi La Grande" -
The Societe Francaise was purchased by Poderosa Mining Co. Ltd. in 1923. -
The Mines were last worked in 1931 -
Token on $ 0,50 ( Black vulcanite) - $ 1.= ( Red vulcanite) - $ 5.= ( Black vulcanite) - were used - (From Russel Rualu also another 20 Cts. Ant 77) -
Now the owner are "Compañia Minera Doña Ines de Collahuasi SCM" and maybe is the great Cooper Mine in Chile in working. -

Calidad: Genuina Circulada - Cantidad: Una Ficha -

Nota: Con esta ficha, los dueños de las Minas o "Oficinas Salitreras" pagaban a sus obreros -
Ellas eran usadas para comprar en las "Pulperías" ( Tiendas de Abarrotes y Mercaderías ) -
NOTA:
La "Societe Francaise des Mines de Cuivre - Collahuasi La Grande" - Es una de las Minas de Cobre más grande en Chile. -
Sus Cinco Minas principales se ubican alrededor de las Colinas de Collahuasi / Iquique -
Estas Minas se trabajaron por los indígenas en tiempos del "pre-colombino" -
Los españoles llamaron el area "Peirira" -
La Compañia Minera Collahuasi (Organizada en 1899) tomó la propiedad de la mina -
En 1912 una Empresa Francesa la compró y cambió el nombre de la Compañía por el de " Societe el des de Francaise Mina de Cuivre - Collahuasi La Grande" - como se muestra en la ficha del pago a los Mineros -
La Societe Francaise se vendio a la Cía. Minera La Poderosa S.A.. en 1923 -
Las Minas se trabajaron hasta fines de 1931 -
