Item Description

 1905-P LIBERTY HEAD "V" NICKEL

FROM THE FRIEDER ESTATE

This coin is offered with an amazingly low opening bid AND WITH NO RESERVE WHATSOEVER! This auction gives you the opportunity to set the price for the actual estate piece pictured in this auction.  A couple of comments:  (1) this item was part of loose change recovered from the Frieder estate and is now re-entering circulation for the first time since probate; (2) the coin is an excellent specimen of Liberty Type Nickel or 5-cent piece and is in circulated condition as reflected by the photographs; and (3) finally, we respond to e-mails promptly and ship fast (which is all the more reason you should buy from us)!

You be the final judge on the grade and value. All comments in the description, header, and on the 2x2, if any, are opinions which are subject to different interpretations; you are buying what you see in the pictures and will receive this exact coin. Enlarged photographs can be found above. These magnified scans, rather than waxing and eloquent descriptions, allow you to make your own evaluation!

Terms of Sale

  • Contact is expected to be established within 3 days of auction end. Otherwise, the auction will be void and we will follow through on filing NPBA and posting negative feedback.

  • Payment must be received within 7 days of auction end. Otherwise auction will be void.

  • All auction sales are final; there will be no price matches or the like.

  • Ask any questions prior to bidding, auctioned goods sold "as is" and there are no refunds (unless there are exceptional circumstances)!

    • PAYPAL.COM payments accepted! All Payments by PalPal may take any form, but we prefer cash balance transfers or bank account transfers!  We are also able to accept money orders, cashier's checks. At seller's discretion, personal checks will be accepted from established eBayers.

    • One more thought on coin grading.... From what we gather, grading coins is an art and not a science.  Even professional grading services can differ on their appraisal of the same specimen.  The value of a coin can also be affected by, among other things, its scarcity, the amount of detail on the obverse, reverse and edges,  environmental damage, damage that may have been incurred while the coin was in circulation.  With these thoughts in mind, please examine any photographs supplied in the listing carefully and feel free to contact us with any questions before you place your bid.
    • Shipping
    • Please add $2.99 for shipping and handling in the United States.  No international bidding and shipping!

    • A modest combined purchase discount of twenty cents per additional item will be applied to your other winning auctions that arise within a 24 hour period.  As an example, you will pay $2.99 in s&h for this auction, but would pay $2.79 if you purchase a second item that would otherwise have shipping and handling of $2.99, for a total fee of $5.78 for the two packages.  Under this formula, 3 coins would be shipped in three separate packages at a total cost to you of for $8.57 (plus the your winning bid amounts).  Please look at the s&h for each item you are interested in to calculate how the $0.20 reduction in the second item, and successive items, will apply in your particular circumstances.
    • Please note that items shipped via US Postal Service mail go out daily Monday - Friday, normally, they will go the morning after receipt of payment is confirmed.
