Widow's Mite from Judaea of Alexander Jannaeus, 103 to 76 BC.

Denomination: AE Prutah

Reference: Sear Greek 6092, Hendin 469, Meshorer 8

Size: 12 mm in diameter

Obverse: Seleucid anchor in a circle with the inscription BASILEWS ALEXANDROU outside of the circle., The flans for this coin are smaller than the dies and it is impossible for the entire design to fit on the flan.

Reverse: 8 pointed star in a circle of dots, with a Hebrew inscription "Yehonatan the King" around it.
