Wow! Add a great piece of American currency history to your collection. 1928 was the first year the US Treasury began to print currency in the size we use now.
This $2 bill, series 1928 D appears to be one of those bills called a mule. The front numbers as shown in the close-up photos are of a different size than the back numbers. The front numbers are the larger size .08mm and the back are in the smaller size .06 mm. This error of course adds to the value.
The bill has no rips, tears or pinholes. It's serial number is B87632607A.
I have one other $2 mule up for auction this week, along with 2 other $2 bills. I also have a bank currency note from 1852.
