Item Description

2 Framed Confederate Currency Set reproduction wall hangings. 1950's Cheerios Cereal Promotion?

Confederate paper collectors take note of these framed reproductions of Confederate Currency.

Frame one contains the $1, $5 and $10 note from the February 17th, 1864 issue.

Frame two contains the $20 & $50 notes from the same date and the $100 note from November 20, 1862.

Please note, these are identified as reproductions on the website http://www.rebelstatescurrency.com/reproductions.html

All of these notes with the exception of the $100 note appear to match those show on that same linked page in the “1954 Facsimile Confederate note set from Cheerios cereal” image. The $100 note in the set for sale is apparently different than the one in that promotion.

All six notes are glued in some fashion to the cardboard backing, which is held into the wooden frames with diamond points. Each note is 3 ¼” by 7 ¼”, while the frames measure 9 ¾” by 12 ¾”.

The frames themselves are in good shape, with strong, well-mounted hangers. On the lower right corner on the back of the large notes frame is a peeling label with “The Coach House Interiors, Inc.” printed on it.

The frames contain glass so my shipping prices are higher on this item, but insurance is included.
