About this auction:
Thank you for viewing our auction. You are bidding on the exact coin pictured above. If you win the auction the coin will be delivered in an attractive coin envelope with its description and picture in color. The shipment will also include a Mystery Coin at no charge. Both coins are packaged in standard 2" x 2" Mylar holders and arrive inside coin envelopes with permanent labels laser printed. Each holder is uniquely numbered so you can display the coin in its envelope or separately yet instantly reference the coin’s documentation. The envelopes display nicely in three ring Trading Card Pages.
Who we are:
We are located in St. Louis Missouri in the heartland of the United States. The company is run by a World Coin Collector who has been interested in world coins ever since he joined a Coin-of-the-Week club almost 45 years ago. We now buy coins from coin dealers and private collections. We sort, package, research and grade coins.
Why the Mystery Coin?
As was said above that the owner joined a Coin-of-the-Week club when he was 12. His sister collected stamps and belonged to the Book-of-the-Month club neither of which interested him. He begged his mom to let him join a Coin-of-the-Week club because of his interest in world coins. He anticipated the arrival of the next coin each week and every week he received a new coin. Opening the package was the most fun, looking to see the new coin inside. Each coin was different and from a strange place. He would spend hours examining the coin and would imagine what it was like where the coin was from. He would put his new treasure with the rest of his bounty and go back to the collection often to look at the designs on the coins. The Mystery Coin is an attempt to pass along the pleasure and anticipation of receiving such a surprise in the mail.
