Here is a nice vintage encased coin, both the copper cent and its aluminum enclosure in quite fine condition overall, made in the shape of a horseshoe, the unit measuring app. 1 & 5/8" by 1 & 3/8. There is only minimal wear on the coin, and it has an appealing bit of red and blue toning, the framework with some tiny edge imperfections and a general very lightly ticked surface, some of it perhaps as made and nothing serious, really. It has been holed at the bottom.
The obverse features a 1970 Denver Mint Lincoln Memorial cent surrounded by an upside-down horseshoe, framed in a wishbone, with "Keep Me And Never Go Broke" inside the shoe, a four-leaf clover at the top and "I Bring Good Luck" at the bottom. The top of the reverse pictures a couple at the sides of a palm tree, with "Hotel & Casino - On The Strip" around. At the bottom is "The Castaways" logo, with "Las Vegas - Nevada" beneath.
