An American Coin 1840 Encapsulated in Cut Glass, Unique
Description
I'm offering for an auction a very interesting and in some way unique item indeed. I can't figure out what it is - candle stick? salt/pepper shaker? inkwell? Obviously its missing the top or lid, anyway, it is made of cut glass on star-cut foot. The most interesting feature is the stem itself containing the silver coin of 1840 Half-Dime of United States Of America. I don't know the glass is British or American origin. Personally I'm fascinated by this item - really interesting and truly unique item indeed. No reserve, so you will pay as much as you think it worth.
